Helianthus, named after the species of sunflower shown on the panel, is a long rectangular window panel, featuring those big, orange-red sunflowers over a blue background. Each of the shades is formed using the very same technique developed by the manufacturer in the early 1900s, using hand-cut stained art glass, each wrapped in fine copper foil and soldered together at extremely high temperatures to form each unique shade. The exact size to the nearest inch may vary, and the exact color of each glass piece may vary due to each piece being handcrafted. The first image is with the light shining through, the second image is with no light.

The Artisanship of Stained Glass
Stained glass is handcrafted using the same technique that was developed by Louis Comfort Tiffany in the early 1900s. Glass types and colors are designed using metallic salts during manufacturing. Each piece of real glass is hand-cut and copper foil is wrapped around each individual piece. The glass pieces are then welded by hand to create one-of-a-kind designs. As part of the finishing process, oil is added to the outside of the design to protect the metal from erosion. The beauty of stained glass is its versatility when illuminated by light. Stained glass will become more vibrant when lit
